Fred Fleet is another important person in Titanic history and his Discharge Book is another of the THS Collections valued pieces. Fleet is known by everyone and remembered for spotting the dreaded iceberg and warning the bridge with his words ICEBERG RIGHT AHEAD! Edward Kamuda corresponded
with Fleet who kindly donated his personal belongings involved with Titanic including his seamen's discharge book which records conduct and is necessary to secure a position on a ship. Mr Kamuda recalled how he felt when the book arrived in the mail saying his fingers literally trembled
as he touched history while reading the passage Titanic Intended New York.
