CHAIR FROM FIRST CLASS DINING SALOON RMS OLYMPIC
CHAIR FROM FIRST CLASS DINING SALOON RMS OLYMPIC

The oak Jacobean style chair is one of the originals made when Olympic began her transatlantic service. The wood has never been refinished. The leather type seat and backing was changed by Lady Kylsant, one of the many redecorating changes made to Olympic when the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co purchased the White Star Line in 1928 from the International Mercantile Marine Co IMMC bringing the company back to British ownership.
