The diagonal patterned green carpet square from a first class stateroom on C deck was given to Edward Kamuda by Frederick Dent Ray, a first class dining saloon steward on Olympic who was transferred to Titanic at Belfast when she was nearly completed. The fascinating story how it survived many years and
ended up across the Atlantic is told in detail at the Titanic Museum.
